Rideshare Pre-Inspection — Fresno, CA

Uber & Lyft Drivers:
Pass Your Inspection.
First Try.

Uber and Lyft require periodic vehicle inspections before drivers are approved. We run the same checks their inspectors do — lights, tires, brakes, fluids, AC, and more — so you know exactly where your car stands before your official TNC appointment.

What TNC Inspectors Check

What We Check
For Rideshare

Uber and Lyft focus on specific safety systems. We assess every one before your official platform inspection so you fix issues on your timeline, not theirs.

Safety

All Exterior Lights

Every light cycled — headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, reverse. A single burned-out brake light fails the inspection. We catch it first.

Most Common Fail
Safety

Tires

Tread depth, inflation, and sidewall condition on all four tires. TNC platforms have specific minimums — we measure and document before the official inspection.

Comfort

AC Function

Uber and Lyft both require functional AC for driver approval. We test blower, temperature range, and output — with a photo of the vent temperature reading.

Required
Safety

Brake System

Brake pad thickness and rotor condition assessed. Marginal pads are flagged before they become a fail — or worse, a safety issue with passengers aboard.

Fluids

Fluids & Leaks

Oil, brake, and coolant levels checked. Active leaks documented. Dripping oil during a TNC inspection is an automatic fail.

Diagnostics

Check Engine Light

An active check engine light fails the TNC inspection. We scan OBD-II codes and identify what's triggering it so you can address it before the official appointment.

This Is Prep,
Not the Official Check

SafeAuto's rideshare inspection is a preparation assessment only — not the official Uber or Lyft certification. You still need to complete your platform's required inspection. But you'll walk in knowing your car is ready — or knowing exactly what to fix first.

FAQs

Rideshare Inspection Questions

Is this the official Uber or Lyft inspection?

No. This is a prep inspection to ensure you know exactly where your vehicle stands before your official TNC appointment. You still need to complete your platform's required inspection — but you'll walk in ready to pass it.

How soon before my TNC inspection should I book this?

We recommend booking at least 3–7 days before your official TNC inspection. This gives you time to address any Advisory or Action Needed findings before the official appointment.

What if you find a problem I need to fix?

We give you a prioritized list of what needs attention and rate each item's urgency. We don't do repairs — we give you the information and let you choose how to address it. A burned-out bulb you can fix for $5 yourself; we make sure you find that out before the official inspection, not during it.
